3 Travel-Friendly Devices That Also Bring Joy At Home - Forbes

Most of the world spent the first half of 2020 indoors or at the very least not traveling extensively. Many of us had time to explore things we might not have done as much previously — cooking, educational courses and wellness at home were popular activities. I had the chance to try a few wellness and beauty devices that I enjoyed at home and think would work extremely well on the road once travel resumes. These devices are small but effective and can improve any trip.

1. Theragun mini™

Unless you’re flying in business class, you’re likely to experience at least some discomfort on a long flight. Whether you’re sleeping on a headrest, unable to stretch your legs out or stuck in a middle seat, at some point some body part is guaranteed to get cramped. That’s when Theragun mini™ comes in handy after. It’s a percussive massage device that comes in a travel-friendly size. It has three different speeds and with a gentle yet quick thumping motion helps work out any kinks or aches on your legs, shoulders, arms and more. It’s great to use before bed to wake up feeling better and with its compact size it also comes with a smaller price tag than the full-size devices at $199. The product also works well in conjunction with a line of CBD skincare products the brand just launched under the name TheraOne. Their Revive CBD Body Balm (Stick) Balmwarms and eases stiff or sore muscles and when used in conjunction with the Theragun mini™ ensures your trip won’t be marked by any aches or paints.

2. FaceGym Pure Lift Face

Travelers often face a conundrum when it comes to skincare – you want to look your very best but you also don’t want to bring a million products with you. That’s especially true if you’re flying with a carry-on and face liquid restrictions. If you want to have lifted, glowing skin on a trip without bringing dozens of products, my recommendation is the Facegym Pure Lift. This small yet mighty product uses EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) to give your face muscles a “workout”. It strengthens your facial muscles and can help sculpt your cheekbones, jawline and smooth out your smile lines. It works particularly well if you’ve been on a super long flight and your face looks deflated or you have an event on arrival where you would like your face to perk up. Skip your 12-step skincare routine and invest ten minutes of skincare training before bed to wake up with excellent results.

3. NuBODY

As we head into August, a.k.a. peak swimwear month, we’re more focused than ever on how our skin looks not just on our face but also our body. NuBody is a small, portable microcurrent device that helps tone and firm the skin on your body. Whether you want to tighten or smooth a specific area of skin, five minutes a day with this device can provide results — more so than a legion of creams and lotions that only penetrate the very top layer of our skin. If you’ve felt self-conscious about cellulite, stretch marks, or sagging skin, NuBody is travel-friendly device that can help your skin look more taught before you slip into a bathing suit. Instead of bringing a legion of creams and scrubs to make your skin look more polished, this device will do the job.

All devices above can be placed in carry-on luggage.
