A pavement rehabilitation project on the 15 Freeway north of Fontana will close three lanes for two nights beginning Friday, July 17.

The work is part of an ongoing California Department of Transportation project on the freeway between Sierra Avenue and Glen Helen Parkway.

Beginning at 8 p.m. Friday and continuing through noon Sunday, the southbound lanes No. 2, 3 and 4 will be closed from Glen Helen to Sierra, Caltrans said in a news release. One lane will remain open for traffic.

The southbound Glen Helen Parkway on- and off-ramps also will be closed.

Caltrans encourages motorists to use the 215 Freeway at the base of the Cajon Pass to bypass the area and avoid construction delays.
