Toni Iannelli: COVID-19 heroes work to keep businesses going - The Morning Call

I have a COVID hero. My brother-in-law, Rick Weaver, is a 71-year-old veteran. He “retired” after putting in a solid, hardworking, blue-collar career at Verizon. During COVID this guy was branded in the “vulnerable” age category. He works two part-time jobs in retirement. Willy, as we call him, could still be home, hiding in his house watching TV, but he cares too much about keeping his post-retirement jobs and financially supporting his daughters’ future. Since the day COVID hit us, he has yet to miss a day at Wegmans or his other part-time gig cleaning banks at night. Those were two scary jobs back in March and April, but he did what he had to do.
