Halloween is still two weeks away, but Gillette Stadium is already looking ahead to the holidays.
For the first time, the home of the New England Patriots will host the Magic of Lights drive-through holiday experience from Nov. 13 through Jan. 2, 2021.
Created by FunGuys Events, Magic of Lights features themed light displays built using LED technology and digital animations, according to a press release. Foxborough’s Magic of Lights event is one of nine displays run by FunGuys Events across North America, with other locations in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Michigan, and Canada.
Highlights of the experience include the 12 Days of Christmas, Winter Wonderland, the Night Before Christmas, and the newly created Blizzard Tunnel.
Early bird tickets were supposed to go on sale to the general public at MagicOfLights.com on Friday, but after a surge of interest during a pre-sale reserved for the “Gillette Stadium Extended Family” — a select group that includes Patriots season-ticket holders — the public on-sale date has been pushed back to the first week of November.
A spokeswoman for Kraft Sports + Entertainment told Boston.com she was unsure if the tickets would be available for the announced early bird price of $25 per vehicle or the regular online admission price of $30 when tickets go on sale during in November. Tickets will also be available at the gate for $35.
Magic of Lights will open at dusk, and closes at 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and at 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
