BAY VILLAGE, Ohio -- It’s never too early to get into the holiday spirit and start thinking about how you can help Santa Claus fulfill those wish lists. And BAYarts' annual Holiday Shop is one place to get started.

The organization is putting out the call right now for artists' creations. Every year, more than 100 local artists offer their unique handiwork for gift givers seeking that special present.

You can get a first look at the Holiday Shop Nov. 21 and 22 at the annual BAYarts open house. The shop will then be open through December.

Gifts likely will include jewelry, tote bags, coffee mugs, ornaments, soaps, candles, framed artwork, holiday cards, holiday décor, apparel and more.

“It is BAYarts' mission to support professional and aspiring artists, and one way we do this is through our BAYarts shop," said BAYarts Executive Director Nancy Heaton. "For our customers, we provide unique gifts and a very special shopping experience on our beautiful campus.”

Artists interested in being featured in the BAYarts Holiday Shop should email three images of what they want to sell to shop manager Karen Petkovic at karen@bayarts.net. There is a required $30 membership fee for all artists.

Artists already selling at BAYarts only need to contact Petkovic as soon as possible to renew their contracts.

Items can then be dropped off at BAYarts from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 31), noon to 4 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 1), 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. next Monday (Nov. 2), 1 to 8 p.m. Nov. 4 and 3 to 6 p.m. Nov. 5.

Appointments also can be arranged for the following week by contacting Petkovic.

No holiday merchandise will be accepted after Nov. 12, but artists can replenish their items throughout the season.
