Travel Alert: Tropical Storm Eta hits Bahamas, heads for Florida coast - American Airlines Newsroom

dogol.indah.link

American continues to monitor the track of Tropical Storm Eta, which first made landfall in Nicaragua as a Category 4 hurricane last week. The storm then hit several cities American serves in Central America, including airports in Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, and continues to impact airports in the Bahamas and south Florida.

As a result of this storm, airports in the Bahamas are closed Nov. 8 and expected to resume operations Nov. 9. American has issued a travel alert for five Florida airports, allowing customers whose travel plans are impacted by Tropical Storm Eta to rebook without change fees. Customers can reschedule their travel on aa.com or by contacting Reservations at 800-433-7300 in the U.S. or Canada. If a customer chooses not to fly to/from an airport covered by the current waiver, American will waive change fees for future travel. Customers are also encouraged to check the status of their flight on aa.com.

If an American flight has been canceled or excessively delayed, customers may cancel their itinerary and request a refund by visiting our website. Customers who booked through a travel agent should contact their travel agency directly.
