WATCH: 2020 Holiday Lights Festival New Year's Eve fireworks show - KETV Omaha

It was a large turn-out at the 2020 Holiday Lights Festival and Fireworks Show.Hundreds watched a 13-minute-long display in the warmth and safety of their vehicles."It's just happy. You need to find a bright spot in your life right now and this seemed like the brightest, biggest spot ever," said Deborah Stang. "I'm excited. I love fireworks."New Year's Eve is the Stangs' first night out in nearly eight months. They chose the Holiday Lights Festival show for its balance of fun and safety."We're so excited to be here," she said.The show, which began at 7 p.m., is one of the largest in the region, according to a spokesperson.To watch the full fireworks show, watch below:J&M Displays choreographed the show. They said the fireworks were visible for miles. The firework display carries a different theme every year. For 2020, the theme was "Everyday Heroes," a dedication to healthcare and essential workers."So many people have stepped up and really put in a lot of extra effort, a lot of extra work and they need to be recognized and they need to be thanked," said Mike Kreikemeier.Friends and family watched the show in amazement, holding each other close and taking in the final hours of 2020. "I hope we're celebrating the end of this pandemic, and celebrating for the healthcare workers that all work for us," said Vergil Flodman. "It's just a big celebration."
