A Wind Chill Warning is in effect for Eastern Iowa until noon Monday.

Valentine’s Day: Mostly cloudy and bitterly cold for Valentine’s Day. High temperatures will be in the single digits below zero. Winds will be out of the northwest at 10-15 mph. Wind chills will be around 20 to 30 below zero.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy and cold for our overnight. Low temperatures will be in the teens to 20 below zero. North winds will be around 5-10 mph. Wind chills will be near 30 to 40 below zero. Remember, frostbite can occur in as little as 10 minutes in these scenarios. Stay inside tonight if you can, but if you have to go out, be sure to bundle up and cover up as much of your body as you can.

President’s Day: Mostly cloudy skies are still hanging around as we begin President’s Day. There’s a chance for light snow in our southeastern counties. Accumulations look to be from a trace to an inch. High temperatures will be in the single digits below zero to the north and single digits above zero to the south. Wind chills will be around 10 to 20 below.

Monday Night: That light snow gives way in the evening, as skies begin to break up. Low temperatures will be in the teens below zero, with wind chills around 30 to 40 below.

Tuesday Day: Partly cloudy for Tuesday, with high temperatures in the single digits above zero.

There’s a slight chance for snow in our southeastern counties for Wednesday. Temperatures slowly climb to near freezing by next weekend.
