Jrue Holiday, JJ Redick gush over Steph Curry, call him 'alien' - NBC Sports Bay Area

Steph Curry averaged 40 points over an 11-game stretch from March 29 to April 19.

It was historic, unbelievable, other-worldly, mesmerizing, off the charts, etc.

And it led to the following back-and-forth between J.J. Redick and Jrue Holiday on "The Old Man & the Three" podcast:

Redick: "He's on a different planet right now."

Holiday: "He's an alien. I don't understand. I don't understand. I fouled him on a half court shot when we played them [on April 6]. I'm pretty sure he didn't even look at the rim, and he still almost made it. And they didn't call the foul. I'm like what is wrong with you? What do you take [laughter]? Can I get some of it please because you're insane dude."

Redick: "He's tapped into something -- some transcendent level of consciousness or something ...

Holiday: "Bro, oh my God."

Redick: "The things he even tries!"

Holiday: "He's putting this in the little kids' heads, like this is OK to try. No, it's not OK to try. Only he can do this."

This is awesome praise from some of Steph's peers, and it's 100 percent deserved.

And in case you forgot, the two-time NBA MVP racked up 41 points (14-for-21 from the field) against Holiday and the Milwaukee Bucks a couple weeks ago.

Holiday is one of the best defenders in the NBA, and there was nothing he could do to slow down Steph that night.
