GREENFIELD — Work on State Road 9 in Greenfield will continue next week, although lanes on the road are open this weekend to allow for potentially high traffic related to the Easter weekend.
Traffic barrels on the north side of the city have been moved off the road to allow drivers to use all lanes during the holiday weekend. The full closure south of Main Street will remain in place. Capt. Chuck McMichael of the Greenfield Police Department said the lane restrictions on the north side will likely be back in place on Monday, April 5, when road crews plan to begin curb work from McKenzie Road to County Road 300N.
Mallory Duncan, the Indiana Department of Transportation’s spokesperson for east central Indiana, said the project is proceeding on schedule and still on track to finish by September.
