VIDEO: Dry holiday weekend, milder temps ahead

WE GOT UP TO 41 DEGREES IN BOSTON. THAT WAS IT. WE'LL DO ABOUT 45 TODAY FOR FIRST PITCH, DESTINED FOR THE UPPER 40'S THIS AFTERNOON. PLENTY OF SUNSHINE TOMORROW, TOO, FOR THE GAME THREE AGAINST THE ORIOLES. 53 DEGREES. SO WE'RE INCHING UP, GETTING BETTER OUT THERE. WE HAD SNOW SHOWERS FLYING AROUND THE CAPE EARLIER THIS MORNING. THEY ARE DONE WITH AND NANTUCKET SEEING THE LAST FEW FLAKES RIGHT NOW. SO AFTER THAT WE'RE DONE. WE'VE GOT LOTS OF SUNSHINE AND COLD TEMPERATURES UP AND DOWN THE EASTERN SEABOARD. AND HERE'S WHAT'S GOING ON. WE'VE GOT A BLOCKING AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE OFF OF CANADA, NORTH AND EAST OF CANADA, SOUTH OF GREENLAND. THIS BLOCKING HIGH PRESSURE IS GOING TO DO EXACTLY THAT -- BLOCK THIS PATTERN FROM REALLY MOVING A WHOLE LOT. NOW, RIGHT NOW IT'S BEAUTIFUL. WHAT ACTUALLY ENDS UP HAPPENING, THOUGH, IS AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL START TO CUT OFF SOUTH OF NOVA SCOTIA AND THEN START TO RETROGRADE BACK TOWARD US, MOVE BACK TOWARD US FROM EAST TO WEST. THAT MAY FLING IN SOME CLOUDS AND A FEW SHOWERS. THAT LOW DOES LIMP OUT TO SEA BUT NOT BEFORE A COUPLE OF CLOUDY DAYS ALONG THE COASTLINE. COLD TODAY. LOTS OF SUN TODAY. DON'T WORRY ABOUT CLOUDS AT ALL. IT'S NOT UNTIL TOMORROW NIGHT ON INTO MONDAY WHERE SOME OF THOSE CLOUDS FROM LOW PRESSURE BACKING IN WILL START TO IMPACT THE AREA. YOUR EASTER IS LOOKING FINE AS WELL. BY AND LARGE, THOUGH, WE ARE DRY OVER THE NEXT EIGHT TO 14 DAYS. AND ACTUALLY TEMPERATURES WILL BE ABOUT NORMAL WHEN YOU AVERAGE THINGS OUT OVER TIME. SO 44 TO 50 TODAY. LOTS OF SUNSHINE. NOT QUITE AS COLD. TONIGHT ANOTHER CHILLY ONE BUT NOT AS CHILLY. 24 TO 32. AND THEN TOMORROW 54 TO 58 DEGREES. A LITTLE BIT MILDER THAN TODAY WITH SOME SUNSHINE. AND WE CHECK IT OUT ON THE SEVEN-DAY FORECAST. THERE YOU SEE IT. WE'VE GOT LOTS OF SUNSHINE AND QUIET WEATHER. 50'S FOR HIGHS EARLY THIS WEEK INTO MIDWEEK AND AGAIN S
