After the Memorial Day weekend, the Minnesota Department of Health reported 134 new positive cases and one COVID-19-related death on Tuesday. Nine of the new cases were in Minnesota's Northland region.
New cases and seven-day averages in Northland counties:
- Aitkin — 0; 0.4.
- Carlton — 1; 2.
- Cook — 0; 0.3.
- Itasca — 1; 4.7.
- Koochiching — 0; 4.1.
- Lake — 1; 0.4.
- St. Louis — 6; 9.
The region's vaccine data contains vaccination information as of May 29. In the Northland's seven Minnesota counties, 167 more people received a first dose of vaccine and 107 people became fully vaccinated. The region's population is now 49% fully vaccinated, and 53% have gotten at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
